About Interings

Interings Inc. is amongst the very first Indian company to start manufacturing and selling jewelry to retailers. The business was started in 1981 and from a one man operation has grown into a company doing business in all the major groups and many retailers in the USA and out of USA. With its office located in Manhattan, New York Interings is serving jewelers all over the country and overseas for past 25 years.

Interings is managed and run by Prakash Mehta, his wife Sarayu and their two sons Bhavin and Gaurav. Prakash Mehta has been in jewelry and diamond industry since 1976, Bhavin Mehta in the business since 1996 and Guarav since year 2000.

Started from a small line of diamond earring and pendants today Interings is selling a full line of fine jewelry.  We sell all types of gold, platinum and diamond jewelry. Beside jewelry Interings also sell loose diamond and colored stones to our customer. We buy our diamonds and jewelry from open markets in US, India, Hong Kong, China and Bangkok, We also produce a substantial part of the jewelry in US by using sub-contractors.

All sales are made by Prakash, Bhavin and Gaurav Mehta with the help of sales associates. We use various jewelry shows and telemarketing to generate sales and different flyers are used for marketing and selling purpose at Valentine day, Mother’s day and Christmas. Some of the major customers are IJO of Connecticut, RJO of Newton IA, and SJO of Charlotte, NC.

The orders from customer are taken at the show and merchandise is made as per order. The flyers are also sold to customers and are supported by merchandise; Interings sales for past three years have been growing steadily with approximate 10 % increase per year. Merchandise from confirm orders are shipped on invoice and approval orders are shipped on memo. Memo sales become A/R when confirmed.

Currently Interings serves 5000 customers on and off during the year. Our customer base includes from small mom and pop retailers to multi million dollar stores and small and medium chain store. We have customers in Canada, Gibraltar, St. Martin Islands, and other Caribbean Islands. We currently exhibit in 18 different jewelry shows and are part of all major jewelry organizations such as International Jewelers Organization, Retail Jewelers Organization, Southern Jewelers Organization, Southern Jewelers Travelers Association, Continental Burying Group and Leading Jewelers Organization. Interings Inc is member of all these groups and also member of Jewelers Board Of trade. Interings exhibits in IJO, RJO, SJTA, SJO, LJG, and CBG shows. Each group has 2 shows per year one in spring and one in fall. Beside these shows Leading Jewelers has one show in fall, JCK Las Vegas one, JIS Miami has two, Midas Dallas has one, Columbus has one,  NY has two and Wisconsin one show. We are one of the very few companies who are approved Vendor for all the buying groups of the Country.

We won the “VENDOR OF THE YEAR AWARD” by Leading Jewelers Guild and the “VIP VENDOR OF THE YEAR AWARD” by International Jewelers Organization. This year we were also awarded 20 years Vendor award by RJO.

Future plans of Interings include expanding the jewelry business to guild stores. Also plans to increase the large diamond and color stone business. Interings has launched a b2b website for marketing purposes and creating a telemarketing setup in India.
